Public Scoping Meetings and BDCP Update – March 2009
Twelve public scoping meetings were held throughout California to provide an update on the environmental review process for the BDCP, and to solicit additional comments about the scope of the Environmental Impact Report(EIR) and Environmental Impact Statement(EIS). Additionally, state and federal agency representatives presented an update on the BDCP planning process, answered questions and took comments.
 
Townhall Meetings:   August 2008
State and federal agencies hosted community meetings in three communities in and near the Delta to provide an overview of the BDCP's goals and development process.  Attendees had the opportunity to ask questsions and make comments about the Plan’s goals, objectives and development process. 
 
In order to identify and evaluate the potential impacts of the proposed BDCP, state and federal staff need access to land that might be under consideration for habitat conservation/restoration and/or water conveyance options.  Participating state and federal agencies hosted eight meetings primarily for landowners in the study area.  Those landowners whose property was identified as significant to understanding the physical nature of areas that might be included in or affected by the propsed Plan or its alternative plans were encouraged to attend to learn about the Temporary Entry Permit (TEP) process.
