Governor Schwarzenegger Outlines Comprehensive Actions Needed in Delta
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger sent a letter to Senators Perata, Steinberg and Machado outlining administrative actions under consideration that will protect the Delta estuary. The proposed actions resulted from findings of the Delta Vision Blue Ribbon Task Force and include water conservation, floodplain protection, and improvements to Delta water conveyance. Governor Schwarzenegger is committed to a transparent negotation with the Legislature and stakeholders to produce a comprehensive solution to the Delta crisis. (Link to full press release: 02/29/2008)
