  1. In advance of the development of the draft conservation strategy, the public is encouraged to participate in Public Meetings and issue-based Working Group meetings and to submit comments in writing (which are posted on the website for public review). BDCP staff is also actively engaged in making presentations and providing briefings to interested organizations.

  2. With the availability of the plan's preliminary draft conservation strategy in summer 2009, the BDCP hosted community workshops in the Delta to solicit feedback about its contents in September 2009.  Outreach to stakeholders and communities will continue as other elements of a preliminary draft conservation plan are developed throughout 2011.

  3. Once the Public Review Draft is completed, public meetings will be held to solicit public comment.  The Public Review Draft process will include a public review and comment period, as established by state and federal law, typically lasting 90 days.
