Comment on the EIR/EIS
Once the draft environmental review document is released, public comments will be encouraged during a 90-day public comment period. Comments received during the 90-day public review and comment period will considered in the development of the final EIS. Public meetings will also be held on the draft document. The final EIS will include all the substantive comments received on the draft EIS and will also include individual responses or summary responses to individual comments. There are several opportunities for public input as a part of the environmental review process, including scoping meetings and public meetings associated with both the draft and final EIR/EIS. In addition, EIR/EIS team members are available for briefings to local entities and elected officials regarding the environmental review process.
